Licensed Real Estate Agent at Zeitlin Sothebys International Realty
Jay was born and raised in Central Illinois and attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville on a basketball scholarship. Upon graduation in 1979, Jay moved to Chicago and worked in a family business for two years. He then changed careers to become a college basketball coach. During that tenure, Jay earned a masters degree in 1985 from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, AL, just outside of Mobile. Playing college basketball and then coaching college basketball for fourteen years only reinforced his commitment to education. Honesty, integrity, dedication and creativity are the personal traits used daily to gain and maintain the respect of both Jay’s peers and clients. Loyalty, trust, communication and knowledge are the key ingredients to build and maintain a long-term relationship with his clients. Jay is a Past President of Greater Nashville Realtors and remains an active participant in other Greater Nashville Realtors committees and events. He is a member of the National Association of REALTOR’s RPAC Hall of Fame, a licensed Broker and holds additional designations of Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Residential Specialist, e-Pro Internet Professional and is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute. Jay has been a member of the Zeitlin team since moving to Nashville in 1995. When away from his real estate activities, Jay enjoys exercise, golf and travel. He continues to build Habitat for Humanity homes since his initial involvement in 1998 and volunteers at Second Harvest events, a local food pantry. Also, he is a member of the Executive Committee for the Peterson Foundation for Parkinson’s, a local non-profit organization.
